Banana Republican @BananaMediaX Replying to @InternetHOF Follow They improved the chair by removing the smelly old fabric and adding new, and also preserves the older layers and literally framed them to honor the previous owners. Internet: clutches pearls

Monique Lula @MoniqueLula ⚫ 02 Jul Replying to @InternetHOF They are honoring the fabric and spreading awareness to those who sit in the chair. The old fabric would eventually start to wear more also, so preserving it now was not a bad idea.

. koala ko ❤ @SkyGazingKoala ⚫ 03 Jul Replying to @InternetHOF see, on one hand this is disrespectful and on the other hand, they get to see all of the fabric added which is cool but you couldn't do sum else? I'd be scared one of 'em gonna haunt me after that though.

Lucy Huber @clhubes ⚫ 02 Jul • I don't care at all that they removed all "heirloom" Joanne's fabric on the chair but I do think there should be a PSA to new moms to stop accepting your husband's mom's janky old wooden rocking chair and just get a cushioned glider, its 2024.

Max Dubler @maxdubler .02 Jul Occasional reminder that "family heirloom" is heterosexual for "ugly furniture," and that you can do whatever you want with stuff you own.

Darkie Malarkey @andsohere ⚫ 03 Jul *looks at quote tweets and comments* I find it really weird how women are discouraging other women from incorporating things from their husband's family/in-laws into their home.

The Queen Prophet @nat_attaaack Follow I think my problem with this is... all they had to do was follow the tradition in the first place. They ended up putting their own layer of fabric ANYWAY so why remove it at all

joy @um_noooo. 03 Jul I feel y'all are framing for nothing. Those fabrics are very clearly from like the 80s on. Those are not family important historical pieces. Her mom did a margaritaville pattern. This is not ancient tradition.
